Hello prospective students,

Are you planning to start a Master’s degree in Physics, Geophysics, or Meteorology and Climate Physics at KIT in the summer semester of 2026? Then you’ve come to the right place! We, the Physics Student Council, are a group of students who volunteer to represent the interests of our fellow students. As well as organising parties, providing advisory services and running an extensive exam protocol distribution service, we also organise the Introduction Days every year, specifically for new Master’s students, to make the start of your studies at KIT as smooth as possible. You’re bound to have plenty of questions, too:

Which lectures should I take? What does my timetable look like? Where are the lecture theatres, the cafeteria and the library? Are there any good restaurants nearby? And what else is there to do in Karlsruhe besides studying?

As well as answering all these questions, the Introduction Days offer you a campus tour, a pub crawl through Karlsruhe, an introduction to the examination regulations and the chance to meet new friends for your studies – a packed programme!

It starts on Thursday, 16 April 2026 at 9:00 am in Room 6/1 in the Physics Tower (Building 30.23, KIT Campus South). The event runs until Friday, 17 April 2026. It’s very important for us as the organising team to know how many people would like to take part in the Introduction Days. That’s why we need you to register! You can do this very easily here on the website!

See you then!
